The Duomo: Third largest cathedral in Europe, and dubbed as a "poem in marble" by Mark Twain, for its exquisite exterior. The ambience outside the duomo, in piazza del duomo is also very upbeat with people thoroughly enjoying the musical steps which lead to the subway station.
The glass domed gallerie off the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II have beautiful and fascinating high-end boutiques. It is adjacent to the Milan Duomo and a must see for every visitor.
Sweet revealation: The gelato icecream parlors in Piazza Del Doumo turned out to be the cheapest in Italy, and YES, they served epic portions of it!
Yes, Milan is very aptly the fashion capital of the world, and this is true for animals too!
The Milanese souvenier shopkeepers were some of the most friendly and warm folks I have ever met! And trust me, this is a rare occurence amongst souvenier shop owners.
